Just Announced…

Musicians: $23M Is Up for Grabs

The City of Austin just opened its FY27 ACME funding cycle — applications are being accepted through Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 6:59 p.m. More than $23 million is on the table across four programs, including the Austin Live Music Fund, built specifically for musicians, independent promoters, and venues.

For context on how competitive this gets: last cycle drew 1,606 applicants requesting over $67 million total. Still, 731 people and venues walked away funded — so it's worth the effort if you qualify.

A couple things to know before you apply: you'll need at least 2 years of documentation showing regular paid live performance (musicians) or curating/promoting shows (promoters). And if you were awarded in FY26, you're not eligible again until FY28.

ACME is also running free workshops and office hours before the deadline — worth attending even if you've applied before, since guidelines shift year to year.
